Our Government Partnerships

SRI's partnerships are designed to strengthen existing public education systems rather than create parallel structures.

By working with government teachers and education officials, we support schools with teacher capacity building, structured learning materials, assessments, school-level monitoring and parent engagement.

The aim is to help students build the academic readiness and confidence needed to access high-quality educational opportunities. SRI partners with government education systems through the Dronacharya Program to strengthen teacher capacity, improve academic preparation and help students access quality educational opportunities through structured learning and regular assessments.

Partnership with Uttarakhand Government

SRI's work in Uttarakhand began in 2021 and has expanded across districts through collaboration with the state and district education system.

The program supports students in government schools to prepare for entrance examinations to high-quality residential institutions including Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Rajiv Gandhi Navodaya Vidyalayas, Himjyoti Schools, Sainik Schools and other residential schools.

In 2026, SRI signed an MoU with the Government of Uttarakhand for program implementation across all 13 districts, creating an opportunity to scale the Dronacharya model across the state.

A Student's Journey: Kalpana

Kalpana

Kalpana, a student from Talla village in Uttarakhand, grew up in a modest family where her mother continued to prioritise education despite limited resources.

Initially an average student, Kalpana struggled with confidence when she was unable to answer questions in front of a Block Education Officer.

Her journey changed when she began receiving academic support through her school teacher and SRI's program. Structured learning materials and regular test preparation helped her build confidence, clarity and academic readiness.

After three years of sustained effort and support, Kalpana secured admission to both Him Jyoti Residential School, Dehradun, and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.

Her journey shows what can become possible when students have access to the right guidance, resources and opportunities.

Together, We Can Expand Opportunity.

SRI is looking to build partnerships with state governments, education departments, district administrations and government-led education missions committed to improving learning outcomes and expanding opportunities for students from under-resourced communities.

We bring an evidence-led program model and on-ground implementation experience that can complement existing government education initiatives.

We are keen to explore partnerships that can:

  • Strengthen academic outcomes in government schools
  • Build the capacity of government teachers to prepare teachers for competitive residential school entrance examinations
  • Support students to improve access to high-quality educational opportunities
  • Use data and assessments to track student learning outcomes of Class 4th and 5th
  • Develop scalable models within existing government systems
